We understand that managing phone numbers for your account can sometimes be confusing. This article aims to clarify the situation regarding phone number deletion and repurchase in our app.
Phone number deletion
If your subscription is not renewed for any reason, the number linked to the subscription will be automatically deleted from your account. This is standard practice to ensure that only active, subscribed phone numbers are associated with your account. Once a number is deleted, it may be reassigned to other users. However, any data or faxes previously associated with the number will remain inaccessible to future users, ensuring your privacy.
Reacquiring a deleted phone number
If you wish to reacquire a phone number that was previously deleted from your account, follow these steps:
Open the app: Launch the app on your device.
Attempt to purchase the old number: Enter the old phone number in the app's designated area for purchasing a new number. If the number is available, you can select and purchase it again.
Proceed with the purchase: If the old number is available, proceed with the purchase as you would with any new number.
Availability not guaranteed: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the availability of a previously deleted phone number. It depends on whether the number has been reissued to our pool of available numbers. Therefore, it's essential to enter the old number into the app and see if it is available for repurchase. Additionally, numbers may not be available because they have been reassigned to other users after being released.
Privacy and Data Security
The app prioritizes your privacy and data security. Here’s what you need to know:
Access to Sent Faxes: The app does not have access to the content of your sent faxes. Your personal documents remain private and are not stored in a way that allows future access by the app or other users.
Reassigned Numbers: If your number is reassigned after your subscription ends, future users will not have access to any faxes or data you previously sent. This ensures that your data remains secure even if the number is reused.
