The "Delivered" status in the Fax App indicates that the recipient’s fax machine has confirmed receipt of the document. However, this does not always guarantee that the recipient has located or accessed the fax.
Confirming Fax Delivery
To verify that your fax was delivered successfully:
Check the Delivery Status: Navigate to the «Sent faxes» tab in the app. Each sent fax will display a status indicator, such as a green «Delivered» status, confirming that the recipient's fax machine received it.
View Delivery Confirmation: Select the specific fax from the list. Once open, click on the «Show confirmation» button to view a detailed delivery confirmation, which can serve as proof of successful transmission.
Troubleshooting Recipient Non-Receipt
If the recipient is unable to locate the fax despite its «Delivered» status:
Common reasons for this include misplacement after printing, incorrect filing or routing within their fax system, or internal storage or access issues on the recipient’s side.
Ensure the Recipient Checks Their Fax System: Ask the recipient to verify that their fax system is functioning properly.
Verify Correct Fax Number: Check if the recipient has provided a correct fax number.
Provide Sending Numbers: Encourage the recipient to search their system using the sending number or additional identifiers as applicable. The recipient may also search by the date of the delivery, which could be found within the details of the fax.
Consider Resending the Fax: If necessary, resend the document to ensure the recipient has another opportunity to locate the fax.
Additionally, you can resend the fax by navigating to the "Sent faxes" tab, selecting the fax, and sending it again to provide the recipient with another copy.
