My payment was double-charged

Updated over a month ago

At the Fax app, we assure you that all payment stages are controlled by the platform you purchased our app from β€” App Store or Google Play. We do not directly manage the buying process. Therefore, iOS and Android guarantee security and hassle-free refunds.

If you've been charged twice for our app, please follow the instructions below to request a refund from the right platform.

iOS

We kindly request you to check if the charges are definitely from our Fax app. If you are sure they are, please provide us with a receipt from Apple, so we can investigate the issue further and ensure that you receive the appropriate refund. The receipt can be found in your Apple ID email.

❗Please note that the bank statement does not show the initiator of the payment, so this document will not be suitable for solving the issue.

Android

Please provide us a Transaction ID, a unique identifier for your purchases, from Google Play for both payments (you may find them in your email inbox). It should start with GPA.XXX and can be found in the confirmation email you received from Google Play after the purchase was made.

Alternatively, you can follow these steps:

On your mobile device:

  • Open the Google Play Store app.

  • Tap on your profile icon at the top right corner.

  • Go to Payments & Subscriptions > Budget & History.

  • Find the transaction and tap on it.

  • The GPA number should appear under the order details.

On your computer:

  • Go to pay.google.com and sign in with the account you used for the purchase.

  • View Your Transactions:

1.On the left side, click on Subscriptions and services or Activity.

2.Find the specific transaction you're looking for.

  • Locate the GPA Number:

1.Click on the transaction to view the details.

2.The GPA number will be listed as the Order Number. It starts with "GPA" followed by a series of numbers (e.g., GPA.123X-567X-901X-3456X).

After that, we'll be able to initiate a refund πŸ™‚
